I'm proud of myself. I just wrote my first Perl/GTK app that actually does something useful. For a while I've been meaning to write a little app to edit MP3 ID3 tags, so now I have a little app to do just that (as well as change the info in the db, so it shows up on this site). Fun fun. And it basically all worked first go.

I bought PJ Harvey's new cd on Thursday, and I have to say that it's already my favorite PJ Harvey CD (and I do have pretty much all of them). "The Mess We're In", "We Float", and "Big Exit" are all great songs, and the CD doesn't really have any bad ones. It's a bit short at only 47 minutes and change, but that's the only negative bit in a great CD.

I got another interesting piece of mail today, this time from the Hunting & Shooting Sports Heritage Foundation. They encourage me, as a hunter and gun owner, to "vote my guns."
I really don't know that I own a gun. I do support gun-owner rights, though.

I got a catalog today from a place that I ordered something from a while back. Unfortunately, the catalog will most definitely do me no good, as I have no clue what "Dual-Band SiGe LNA+Mixer IC Has Highest IP3" is going to do for me. They do give out free samples, though.

It's not often that I watch a large block of television. Tonight I did. It started with Ghostbusters, and then continued into Action, which is definitely my favorite show at the moment. Fox cancelled it after only a couple weeks, but once again FX fills my viewing needs. After Action comes The Daily Show on Comedy Central. Another must-watch. Tonight I even stayed watching to see a little of Al Gore on The Tonight Show.
Now back to reality, which has me writing an English essay about a book I really didn't like.
